The Principle of Spray Dryer Machine:

The air is heated by the heater and enters the drying chamber. At the same time, the material liquid is atomized by the atomizer into micron/nano-scale droplets. When the droplets contact with the hot air, they are quickly gasified and dried into powder or granular products. Dry powder or granules The product flows into the cyclone separator with the air for separation, falls into the recovery bottle, and finally the exhaust gas is discharged.

Spray Drying Technology Has Advantages over Other Drying Technologies:

(1) Drying is carried out under high-heat air, with very little oxygen, the easily oxidized substances are protected, and the lack of oxygen can sterilize or inhibit the activity of some bacteria.

(2) Drying is carried out under slightly high pressure, and the spray-dried materials will not be oxidized and deteriorated.

(3) Drying is carried out under hot air, and the heat-sensitive ingredients that are easy to display in the material will not be denatured or lose their vitality, especially the spraying of protein products, which will not change the structure of the protein.

(4) The spray-dried material can form atomized small molecules, which will maintain their original shape after drying, without shrinkage, and have a loose and porous sponge structure inside.

(5) The laboratory industrial spray dryerdehydrates thoroughly, and can remove about 90% to 95% of moisture during drying. After drying, it can be kept at room temperature for a long time, and it is easy to transport because of its light weight.

How to Use the Spray Dryer Machine?

1. The prepared material (solvent) is transported to the atomizer through the peristaltic pump, and the atomizer atomizes the material to the drying chamber;

2. The atomized material is evaporated by hot air in the drying room, and after the water is completely evaporated, the material is introduced into the cyclone separator (induced air system or air supply system) for solid-gas separation;

3. The separated material will enter the material collection bottle, and the separated exhaust gas will be discharged from the air outlet (or after secondary treatment by bag dust removal)

Precautions for Spray Dryer Machine:

1. Be careful not to lose the nozzle when cleaning the spray gun.

2. Handle with care during the experiment to prevent damage to glass accessories.

3. The solid particle size of the feed should not be larger than the diameter of the nozzle, the feed volume should not be less than 50ml, and the solid content should generally not exceed 25%.

4. Wash the equipment in time after the experiment.

5. Viscous materials cannot be used for spray drying.

6. Cannot be used in organic solvents.

How to Maintain the Spray Dryer Machine:

1. Due to the long-term operation or improper operation method of the spray dryer machine, aggregates appear in some laboratory spray dryer and affect the normal operation. At this time, the work should be stopped for cleaning. The cleaning door should be opened to clean the aggregates in the drying tower, and the funnel-shaped spray dryer machineshould be cleaned with a long broom. Collect material at the bottom, open the discharge valve, and when the freezer is turned on, the circulating water should be turned on, and the inside of the dryer tower should be cleaned with tap water.

2. After a period of operation, the spray dryer machineneeds to carry out necessary inspection and maintenance. For the feeding system, check whether the filter, pipe, valve, nozzle, etc. are blocked, clean it regularly, check the wear of the nozzle, and replace it immediately if the wear is serious.

3. After a period of operation, check whether the material pump is leaking oil, whether the pressure gauge and oil level are normal. For the blower of the dryer, check whether the shaft and bearing are short of oil heat, whether there is vibration, noise, etc., and if necessary, clean the three filters of the oil pipe, pump and nozzle.

4. In case of an emergency, the equipment should be shut down immediately, and the blower and material pump should be shut down first. If there is a power failure, the gas engine should be pulled out to let the tower body cool down naturally, then the drain valve should be opened to drain the slurry pipeline and clean the equipment.
